Actress Christina Ricci took it back to basics in a stunning backless grey gown for a star-studded art gala in New York last night.
But when she turned to show off the gown’s plunging back, she also revealed her non-too discreet tattoos on both her shoulder, and her lower back.
The Addams Family star, fittingly revealed her highly visible artwork at the Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2008 Gala.
Christina, 28, was dressed in the grey satin gown, with black embroidery by the event’s sponsor, Donatella Versace.
Keeping her accessories simple, instead she revealed a peek of her own collection of body art.
On her lower back are a bouquet of sweet-peas, and on her left shoulder a lion (Aslan from Narnia).
She also has a fairy on her right wrist, and a small black bat on her left hip that she later changed to praying hands., according to the Los Angeles Times.
And despite being such a tiny size, Christina also managed to tattoo the phrase ‘Move or Bleed’ on the left side of her ribcage, the name ‘Jack’ on her right thigh (reportedly the name of a deceased pet), a sparrow on her right breast and a mermaid on her left ankle.
Thankfully, the rest of the tattoos were kept firmly under wraps.
Christina was joined at the star-studded event by guests including Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon, musician Sting and wife Trudi, and Donatella and daughter Allegra Versace.

The designer also created three pieces of one-of-a-kind jewellery for the American art gala.
The jewels were auctioned during the gala dinner along with drawings signed by each artist.
