Now that, her Garçonne short cut, her bright eyes and her 73 years got mixed together in an explosive, gorgeous mix of undeniable style. How does Dame Judi Quantum-Of-Solace-ready look to you? Christina Ricci looks super

Actress Christina Ricci took it back to basics in a stunning backless grey gown  for a star-studded art gala in New York last night.

But when she turned to show off the gown’s plunging back, she also revealed her non-too discreet tattoos on both her shoulder, and her lower back.

The Addams Family star, fittingly revealed her highly visible artwork at the Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2008 Gala.

Christina, 28, was dressed in the grey satin gown, with black embroidery by the event’s sponsor, Donatella Versace.

Keeping her accessories simple, instead she revealed a peek of her own collection of body art.

On her lower back are a bouquet of sweet-peas, and on her left shoulder a lion (Aslan from Narnia).

She also has a fairy on her right wrist, and a small black bat  on her left hip that she later changed to praying hands., according to the Los Angeles Times.

And despite being such a tiny size, Christina also managed to tattoo the phrase ‘Move or Bleed’ on the left side of her ribcage, the name ‘Jack’ on her right thigh (reportedly the name of a deceased pet), a sparrow on her right breast and a mermaid on her left ankle.

Thankfully, the rest of the tattoos were kept firmly under wraps.

Christina was joined at the star-studded event by guests including Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon, musician Sting and wife Trudi, and Donatella and daughter Allegra Versace.

The designer also created three pieces of one-of-a-kind jewellery for the American art gala.

The jewels were auctioned during the gala dinner along with drawings signed by each artist.

Katie Holmes’ Roger Vivier Mikado Flat Bag

This is a first, the first time we have spoken about Roger Vivier. But Vivier, known as the “Fragonard of the shoe”, has created some of the most important shoes of the 20th century, including in the 1950’s when he invented the stiletto heel. Vivier passed in 1998 and Bruno Frisoni took over as the artistic director in 2002.

Frisoni has continued to keep the brand growing, as the shoes have always spoken for themselves and now the handbags are seen on every top celebrity and socialite from Paris to New York.
One of the biggest fans of Roger Vivier is Katie Holmes, who has been seen in Vivier often. The latest acquisition for Katie Holmes is the stunning Roger Vivier Mikado Flat Bag in black python from the fall/winter 2008-2009 collection.

While Katie wears her Vivier bag, her daughter Suri enjoys her very own pair of iconic Roger Vivier Buckle Flats. Jealous? Yes, I am as well. Suri is becoming a fashionista in her own right and Katie Holmes is stunningly dressed in Vivier accessories, including her sunglasses and new handbag.

Old Hollywood Glam at the High School Musical 3

Tweens and the young ‘uns in Paris – and probably all over the world – are already shrieking at the thought of being able to watch the premiere of the hit Disney film “High School Musical 3“.

While the Paris Fashion Week is on full blast, the two main female cast members strutted their stuff at the red carpet premiere of the movie in the same city.

Vanessa Hudgens looked very young, chic and it seems like she had a blast dressing up for the premiere. She wore a white Blumarine beaded flapper-esque knee-length dress. She paired it with a black fur stole which she wore around her arms – and black Jimmy Choo strappy sandals.

Meanwhile, Ashley Tisdale also arrived in white – she donned a Blumarine Fall 2008 dress – it has a halter neck and a chiffon skirt. Ashley kept her accessories to a minimum.

If this was a fashion face-off, Vanessa wins hands down. Her outfit looked fun, young and elegant despite the 1920’s theme. Meanwhile, Ashley’s dress just looked blah on her – or is it because of that model pout that she needs to work on?

Alessandra Facchinetti OUT at Valentino

And the rumors were true. WWD just reported that Alessandra Facchinetti is finished at Valentino.

Sources tell WWD that longtime Valentino accessories designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli will replace her as head of design. Her spring 2009 show for the house just walked in Paris, backstage at which Valentino CEO Stefano Sassi said, "We will make the situation clear very shortly."

Before Valentino, Facchinetti helmed design at Gucci, where she reportedly disagreed with management over aesthetics and production costs. Speculation about Facchinetti’s successor has focused on Giambattista Valli, who presented a much-lauded collection yesterday. Was it all for naught? Valentino’s new appointments are reportedly subject to board approval so stand by.
